The sampler includes distinctive characteristics of Russian embroidery including,  symbolic motifs worked in double-sided embroidery using “Painting Stitch” and “Nabor Stitch” in the time-honored color red

Stitches Used: Double RunningStitch (Painting Stitch), Darning Stitch (Nabor Stitch) & Satin Stitch.
