Pot Luck is an 18th century-style sampler with a mystery story. Each chapter of the story coincides with the symbolic motifs of the sampler. Clues, hidden within both the sampler and the story, will be revealed during the workshop in order to discover the solution to the mystery.
When the idea of a commemorative sampler to celebrate the Guild's 10th anniversary was presented, everyone was excited to participate. Ten members’ names were randomly selected and each was assigned a color. These women were challenged to use a motif from one of the antique samplers from the Guild's 2004 exhibit to fill their portion of the sampler. This led to the discovery that several of the antique samplers which the Guild had borrowed for their display, were now missing. The Guild members looked at each other suspiciously. Which one of them was guilty?
Please note: This was a workshop originally done for the Northwest Sampler Guild. The photo of the sampler shows that Guild's name and logo – the chart and story can be changed and adapted for your Guild.
