Needleworkers Reticule Kit This delightful bag is worked on 32 count linen using a Rouche Stitch to gather the top part of the bag into a zigzag pattern. The Rouche Stitched portion of the bag Is sewn into a hinged ornate metal clasp. Flowers and birds are stitched with 'Fibers to Dye For' Silk Thread onto the lower part of the bag using Tent Stitch. The hinged clasp opens to reveal Needle Felt pages and pocket for a Thread Winder.
The project also includes a stitched circular Pin Keep. A second Thread Winder attaches with a magnet onto the Pin Keep, which fits into the Reticule Bag.
The assembly of the Bag is made easy by simply lacing together the perimeter backstitched outlines of each half of the bag. No sewing machine is required. A pre-printed Silk Fabric is used for the lining of the Reticule Bag and for the Pin Keep. The pre-printed Silk Fabric lining has dots to follow for the backstitched perimeter outlines, which again makes for easy assembly and a perfect fit to the line the Bag.
The Kit includes everything you need (see materials list below) and step by step instructions with colour photos to guide you through all steps required to complete the Reticule Bag and Pin Keep.
