Starting August 20, 2025 I will be putting a temporary shipping pause on ALL orders to the UNITED STATES.

The US Government will be removing the ‘de minimis’ rule for goods entering the United States  as of August 29, 2025. This means that all goods shipped to the United States may be subject to a 35% tariff.

My products should be exempt from the tariffs under the USMCA free trade agreement. I am exploring how to document and implement shipping my kits and books exempt under USMCA. I hope this can be resolved and that I can resume shipping to my US customers soon.

Smooth Operator ‘Fibers to Dye For’ silk threads are carefully hand dyed to create an antique patina for your reproduction samplers.  Smooth Operator silk thread is a spun silk with an s-twist of 28 t.p.i. and is comparable in weight to one strand of most stranded silks. Packaged with 25 yards on a hang tag.
